What the hell happend to Europe-English?
I've been away from the game for about six months, and seeing the second GW2 trailer made me wanna start playing a bit again, so I logged on last week only to find out Europe-English districts are completely deserted.
What happened, six months ago there were at least 4 full districts in Kamadan at peak times, yesterday maybe 30 people in the only district left?
Other districts don't seem to have this problem, both German and French are comfortably full(can't say though if they're suffering form population cuts also, as I just don't know if they perhaps had far more players than the English districts in the past).

I moved to US district about eight months ago. I assume everyone else did the same. Maybe Anet should just get rid of the districts and focus on international since the community is inevitably shrinking.

I must say I'm confused, there's still a 5-8 hour difference, there can't be that many Americans on at noon-3 pm their time to make a significant difference at peak European evening times.

Everyone is pugging, trading, chatting there, but if you want to do a mission or a quest, you change district to europe again when your party is ready, so there's less lag. That's what i do at least.

Same, a good portion of the population is basically grinding Zaishen bonuses.. and to make the pill easier to swallow, they'll happily form PUG's to complete this goal. And to form most groups you goto the American districts.
At least there you don't usually get Dutch and Portuguese players spamming for guild members in Dutch and Spanish in an English district.
I recommend, looking at the upcoming Zaishen Bonus page. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Zaish...st/predictions

Where else are they supposed to do this? There are no dutch districts after all.
But yeah, I too go to the american server to trade. The euro-english district is great if you're doing h/h, not so great for anything else.

I remember back in days when American and European districts were split and the only way to travel between those was to change your account settings. Which wasn't very convenient. Anyway, back then you could actually see all European outposts were empty after midnight. Where the American weren't
Now you don't have to care about the time of the day. You can log at 8pm or 5am and you'll always find people, no matter what time zone are you in

On Topic: I've been wondering why I've been seeing more and more non-native English speakers in the American Districts. Merging the two and having them come over for pugs and stuff makes sense.
Hmm. Learn something new every day.

I have been mostly playing in American districts even before they made it more convenient. Whenever I used up one of my precious 5 region changes, I was shocked how empty, lifeless, and deserted the English European districs had been compared to the American ones. Even back then, 3 or 4 years ago.
Always switched back instantly.
Now I can use the Euro districts for better pings whenever I play solo.
But the American districts always have been (and always will be) the... Life of the Party.

good thing your ping in town doesn't matter at all in any circumstances ever.
let's not start the "if i leave town in american district my ping is high QQ herp derp" cause i'm sure we all know the reason why that's total retarded bullcrap by now.
it doesn't matter at all. use american districts it's two clicks away.
